  • Therapy for couples, polycules, and other relationship constellations.

Relationship therapy focuses on understanding and addressing the underlying dynamics that are causing conflict or keeping you stuck. We will track cycles of conflict, identify barriers to communication, and develop skills of differentiation, active listening, and conflict resolution.

  • Therapy for individuals or relationships focusing on sex & sexuality.

Sex therapy can cover a wide range of concerns related to sex, desire, libido, sexual identity, kink, sexual values & ethics, reclaiming pleasure, and more. Sex therapy will provide an educated, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space to explore these vulnerable parts of self. Sex therapy often includes resources and education, identification of your personal values & ethics, and suggestions for practical explorations and tools you can bring into your intimate life.

  • An experiential therapy for individuals.

Internal Family Systems therapy is an evidence-based, compassionate approach to getting to know your complex inner system. IFS believes that every part of us has good intentions, but parts often get stuck into extreme or protective roles. In IFS therapy, we will move at the speed of trust to get to know your inner system, understanding why parts have taken on these roles, and ultimately creating more harmony and healing within. IFS incorporates elements of mindfulness, somatic awareness, and going within rather than just talking about.

  • No, I am not in-network with any insurance providers. This is because the insurance model is based on a medical model of diagnosing and treating disorders. In contrast, I use a biopsychosocial model, meaning that I view your unique challenges and experiences not as a diagnosable disorder but as a set of adaptations that make sense in the context of your whole self & life history.

Additionally, insurance providers prescribe the duration, frequency, and modalities of therapy permitted. Working outside of the insurance model ensures that we retain agency, flexibility, and authenticity, truly adapting the therapy to meet you— not an arbitrary standard set by an insurance company.

I can, however, provide you with a superbill, a monthly invoice detailing the services provided and amount paid. You can ask your own insurance plan whether they will provide partial reimbursement for out-of-network care.

  • My fee is $180 per 50-minute session and $285 per 80-minute session.

I accept payment via card, HSA/FSA, cash or check. If paying via card, I use a HIPAA-compliant payment platform called IvyPay.

    No Surprises Act Notice:

It is your right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much you can estimate your medical care will cost.

    • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

    • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

    • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

    • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate check out: https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises

  • Yes! If you are interested in working together, fill out the Request a Consultation form. Once I have received that, I will email you within 1-2 business days. If it seems like we could be a good fit, I will offer some times for a 15-minute free consult call via phone or Zoom.

  • I see all new clients in person, in my Wallingford office. I find that in-person therapy offers a uniquely rich experience.

I only hold couples’ sessions in person. For individual clients, I can offer telehealth as an occasional backup option if circumstances require. (A flat tire, a minor cold, etc.)

  • I offer either weekly or every-other week sessions, at a regular, consistent time. This allows us to create a rhythm together, and build the consistency necessary for long-term change.

Some clients choose to do a longer 80-minute session every other week, which can provide space for deep work while also working with schedule & budget constraints.

  • This varies person to person! Therapy can take a few months, or several years. I provide depth therapy that builds slowly over time, in order to create lasting change.

My goal is to work together to a place where you feel your goals are achieved and integrated, and you are ready to step away from the therapeutic space. This is something we will discuss throughout our work together. I recommend at least one termination session to process and wrap up our work together.
